POISON 13

Una de mis bandas punks favoritas, tienen un sonido particular y potente que mezcla un punk country de distorsiones saturadas y slide con una voz muy a lo Germs… tienen influencias de The Sonics, Richard Hell y Joy Division aparentemente como los covers hechos en este disco indican.

Poison 13 es una banda texana formada en 1980
de un sonido crudo punk, bluesero y garagero con toques rockabilly.
La banda comenzó cuando Mike Carroll convoca a su amigo Tim Kerr para formar un proyecto musical. Cuando la banda de Carroll tomó un descanso, Kerr organizó Poison 13 de inmediato.

MUDHONEY

-Mudhoney, una explosiva banda que, con sus amplias influencias del Punk, Proto-Punk, Garage, Psicodelia, Hardcore y Noise, dió forma a lo que se etiquetaría "Grunge" con su gran sonido sucio y estridente gracias al Superfuzz y al Bigmuff de sus guitarristas (Arm+Turner).

BUSHPIG

La banda se formó en el'89, como una colaboración entre miembros de The Thrown-ups y King Snake Roost.
Con esta primera formación la banda dió a conocer un 7 pulgadas por medio de Amphetamine Reptile. En 1990 cambian la formación, donde figuran también Martin Bland y Guy Maddison (de la banda australiana Bloodloss en la que Mark Arm se unirá más tarde ese año, después de haber trabajado con Bland en Monkeywrench), el nuevo Bushpig registró un LP…

Bloodloss

Originalmente fundada en los principios de los 80 por el cantante, saxofonista y guitarrista EJ Renestair, el cantante y baterista Martin Bland en Australia, Bloodloss y su ruidoso blues free jazzero, rock espacial y su locura punk, pasó por dos breves períodos de existencia en esa década. La primera fue la más notoria, concluyendo con el grupo tratando de prender fuego el estudio de grabación donde estaban grabando.
A finales de los 80 hubo una reforma en el grupo y la edición de un álbum o dos, pero cuando el ex miembro Stu Spasm invitó a los dos principales miembros a unirse a su actual banda, Lubricated Goat, se concentraron en eso por unos años.
El grupo comenzó su tercer y más alto perfil de vida en los años 90 cuando Bland se junta con Mark Arm de Mudhoney para formar el proyecto de Monkeywrench. Renestair terminó en los Estados Unidos y, lo que lleva a un Bloodloss plenamente reactivado con Arm como otro miembro clave. Salieron tres álbums seguidos en rápida sucesión -In-a-Gadda-da-Change (1993), Live My Way (1995), y Misty (1996). A continuación, el grupo tuvo un largo paréntesis, a finales de 1999, Arm ha mencionado que el nuevo álbum ha estado guardado durante unos años, pero que todos necesitaban ponerse en eso - y obtener más dinero -- para terminarlo y que pueda salir al público.
